What is 60/40 rosin solder?
The 60/40 rosin solder is a tin/lead solder wire, made of 60% tin and remaining 40% lead, equipped with a rosin flux core. This is one of the most widely used solder alloy within the tin solder wire family. Due to it's already made with a rosin flux core, so there's no need to prepare external flux to be used with this 60/40 rosin solder when doing the soldering, simply and handy.
Details of 60/40 rosin solder:
1. Wire diameter: the 60/40 rosin solder can be made into many wire diameters, ranging from 0.5mm to 3.2mm wire diameter. In most general applications, 1mm, 2mm would be the most popular wire diameter. While soldering of small components such as mobile phone, will use small wire diameter; soldering of plumbings will use 1.6mm or 3.2mm diameter 60/40 rosin solder.
2. Weight of each roll: The 60/40 rosin solder can be made into different weight as per client's request. Small rolls such as 100g, 200g, 250g; Big rolls such as 500g, 1000g etc. For commercial purpose such as retail purpose through supermarkets or hardware shops, small rolls of solder are more preferred; If for industrial purpose such as manufacturing purpose, bigger rolls are more reasonable.
3. Type of rosin: the 60/40 rosin solder adopt a no clean rosin flux, as rosin is made from pine tree, a natural and neutral ingredient, after soldering, it's flashed and turned into just very little, clear and non corrosive residue, it's no required to remove these residue in most of the applications.
4. Packing: We have box to pack the 60/40 rosins solder. If small rolls like 100g or 200g, we will pack 20pcs into one box; If bigger rolls like 500g or 1000g, we pack about 10pcs into one box.
