What is flux cored solder wire?
The flux cored solder wire is a wire solder with flux made into the core. Generally the core is made with rosin based flux, or alternatively it can be acid base flux, depending on what application the flux cored solder wire will be used for. If it's for electrical or electronic soldering, a rosin based flux core is proper; if it's for soldering of metal, an acid base flux core is more proper in order to remove the tarnish surface from the metal.
Specifications of flux cored solder wire:
1. Flux cored solder wire diameter: we can make so many options of solder wire gauges, ranging from small one like 0.5mm, 0.8mm up to 2mm, 3mm, or 3.2mm etc. Tiny wire diameter like 0.2mm is also possible, but with a MOQ to be applied for this special wire diameter. For general soldering, a 0.8mm flux cored solder wire is proper.
2. Weight for flux cored solder wire: We have small roll like 100g/roll, 200g/roll, 250g/roll etc, also bigger roll like 500g/roll or 1000g/roll. The small rolls of solder wires generally are for re-sell purpose, bigger rolls are for manufacturing purpose. Most common ones are the 500g flux cored solder wire and 1000g flux cored solder wire.
