China lead free solder wire 500g means that the solder wire winded to be a roll at 500g each. And it doesn't contain any lead, generally it's composed of tin based and alloyed with silver or copper. 1. We produce different wire diameter of China lead free solder wire 500g, starting from 0.6mm to 3.2mm. Make sure you have chosen the right solder wire diameter, because the right diameter will give you the right amount of solder to be applied on the solder joint, a too small wire might lead to a loose solder joint while a too big wire diameter might lead to excessive joint which could lead to short-circuit or bridging.
2. Decide if you need a rosin flux cored China lead free solder wire 500g, or just a solid core wire. In our standard production we generally incorporated 2.0% nominal rosin flux as core, if you choose this flux cored China solder wire then you don't need to apply external flux in order to solder, but if you use solid core China solder wire, you will have to apply external flux.
3. Check if you need Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5 solder wire (SAC305), or Sn99Ag0.3Cu0.7 (SAC0307), or Sn99.3Cu0.7 (SACX07), all these 3 types are lead free solder wire and all can be made to 500g/roll, but the thing is SAC305 contains high silver at 3.0%, SAC0307 contains low silver at 0.3%, but SACX07 contains no silver. So choose the proper one, the higher content of the silver the solder wire is, the more expensive it is, but of course the better soldering property it has too. Generally SAC305 is about double price of SACX07.
This size of China lead free solder wire is considered as a big roll, which is suitable for commercial or industrial soldering purpose. Tthe 100g/roll or 200g/roll China solder wire, that is designed for home use or repair works through distribution network. Like in the electronic manufacturing plant, or machine manufacturing plant, generally big sized solder coil like this type of 500g or 1000g will be more preferred, because you don't have to bother to change the solder coils too much which would be quite time consuming.
